Frog Ladders

Rainwater basins are often a deadly trap for amphibians such as frogs, toads, newts and other amphibians. Our plastic frog ladders enable the animals to find their own way to freedom.

The vertical walls in rainwater retention basins and clarifiers are even more insurmountable for amphibians than kerbs. Most sewage treatment plants are aware of this problem: washed-up toads and frogs are often caught by hand and then released, but usually only during the day.

However, a simple measure can significantly increase the number of rescued toads, frogs, newts and salamanders - at any time of day or night.

Our frog ladder is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. In addition to high stability, this offers the advantage that the water in the pool does not affect the material properties, as would be the case with metal amphibian ladders, for example.
